Read Matthew 6:19-24 and John 17:3Since today's question is more about meditation and devotion, I'm once again publishing this first thing in the morning so that you can focus all day on the verses, particularly John 17:3. Consider this another memorization challenge! If you look at this verse on the hour, you should have no problem memorizing it, and you'll have one more piece of scripture tucked away in your mind!
Our devotion and affection is something that comes as we fix our minds on what is important. Exercise your mind today to meditate on John 17:3, as you pursue devotion and loyalty to God today.
"I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples. ~John 15:5-8
